Rocketseed Technical Overview
Rocketseed is the global leader in its field, and provider of email branding for thousands of well-known brands and corporations worldwide. Our solution is easy to set up, and is administered from a central location to ensure consistent email branding across your organisation. Here are some details to help you understand how the pieces fit together.
Architecture
Rocketseed email branding is performed on hardware that is situated downstream of the customer’s usual mail server. This allows for centralised and complete control of email branding for individuals, groups, or entire corporations.
For small enterprise customers it is common for individual users to set up their email clients (such as Microsoft Outlook, or Gmail) to route outbound messages to the Rocketseed server. In larger organisations, entire departmental or corporate groups can direct outbound mail from Exchange or other mail servers to the Rocketseed branding engine.
In either case setup for end-user email branding is quick, simple and transparent. No changes are required in the users’ normal email habits, Rocketseed simply inserts branding elements, signatures and disclaimers as needed once the Send button has been clicked.
Centralised Control
Typically the marketing department is given full control over which branding is applied. A sophisticated Rules Engine makes it possible to assign specific branding to individual senders and receivers, or to groups of senders and receivers. Rules can also be controlled on the basis of time – as in a seasonal Spring Sale marketing campaign.
Sender Management
In order to apply consistently-formatted signatures to all outbound messages, replies and forwards, the Rocketseed email branding server is configured with the contact information for each licensed sender. Data such as name, telephone numbers and title can be manually edited, uploaded in bulk, or imported from a corporate Active Directory database.
