Established in 2010, Euphoria Telecom is South Africa’s #1 business phone system provider, offering cloud-based, customisable phone solutions for businesses and contact centres. The company hosts over 4,000 business customers ranging from listed companies and large corporations to SME customers across South Africa.
The Challenge
The Euphoria team was looking for a solution to optimise their email communications in order to relay important brand and marketing messaging to their valued customers, suppliers and staff without being invasive.
A second key challenge (and the focus of this case study) was that Euphoria’s management wanted to strengthen the personal connections between the teams based at their two main offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Could enhancing their internal email be the answer?

In order for all Euphoria ‘family’ members to get to know their colleagues across different locations, a ‘Meet your team’ email banner was created, with a clear, clickable call-to-action. Rocketseed’s advanced segmentation and targeting rules ensured that this banner was only displayed on internal emails within the organisation.
Upon clicking on the banner, the recipient is taken to a landing page containing thumbnail images of all staff members…
Each team member’s thumbnail is clickable and links through to a short bio that lists personal information such as their hobbies, favourite foods, preferred music etc. so everyone gets to know each other better, there’s no awkwardness and new team members can be easily added.
Put simply, it’s strengthening connections between geographically separated colleagues using email signature internal marketing!
Results
Euphoria’s ‘Meet your team’ internal marketing campaign was initiated before the global Covid-19 pandemic and became even more valuable during the lockdown period, especially with new employees being onboarded while working remotely.
Rocketseed’s advanced analytics and reporting tracked every email engagement and measured campaign performance.
For the period of March to October 2020, 33 Euphoria employees had their internal emails branded with the “Meet your team” banner campaign. Of these, 24 employees (73%) successfully achieved click-through interaction from fellow colleagues, with the ‘Meet your team’ banner being clicked 89 times by recipients.
These interactions made this a simple yet successful campaign, achieving its objective of strengthening connections between geographically separated colleagues in this SMME.
